Westphalia starts the 2024 online foaling season

Champion stallion V-Power on top of the price list with first vintage

Price statistic 78. Online Auction foals

Münster: The Westphalian Studbook opened the 2024 online foal auction season with a lot of dressage-orientated riding horse and riding pony foals. The lot of 25 foals on offer was peppered with five riding pony foals. In total, 84 percent of the foals on offer found a new owner this evening. A daughter from the first vintage of the Westphalian Champion Stallion V-Power trotted to the top of the price list with a hammer price of 17,500 euros.

20 riding horse foals with the best dressage pedigrees were up for sale in this online auction. A daughter from the first vintage of V-Power danced her way to the top of the price list. The fact that the ZG Strunk, Bochum, had bred their Verb.Pr.St. Feeling by Fürstenball to the stallion, which was sold himself for 1.2 million euros, was a happy coincidence. At the Westphalian Studbook's stallion show last year, they won a stud fee voucher for the Westphalian Champion Stallion of the year 2022. The stars are aligned for a successful future for Vaiana. Not only her sire is already highly decorated at a young age. Her dam was successful in dressage tests up to medium level and once took part in the final of the Bundeschampionat. After 26 bids from eight bidders, the bay filly changed hands for the hammer price of 17,500 euros.

Two other young talents broke the 10,000 euro mark in this online auction. One of these was a daughter of the Warendorf state stud stallion Sir Heinrich. The dam of head number 6 Sunshine Reggae (breeder: Carsten Rohleder, Dortmund; exhibitor: Maja Clara Rohleder, Dortmund) is the Westphalian St.Pr. mare Elea R by Escolar, who was victorious in young horse tests. In 2018, she won the competition for the “Westfalen Wappen“ at the "Turnier der Sieger“ in Münster. This evening, her daughter was worth 13,000 euros to customers from Germany. The first auction candidate, Verpoorten, also impressed the clientele. The strong moving chestnut colt was bred by Martin Westermann out of the Verb.Pr.St. Vicky by Valverde. The son of the much discussed Viva Gold from the Gestüt Westfalenhof changed hands here to Katrin Sudhölter. The new owner gave herself her very own present to the first victory in the advanced class with the sire of her young hopeful.

Five riding pony foals completed the lot of this online auction. The top priced pony foal was an offspring of the Westphalian- and Bundeschampion D-Gold AT NRW. Da Vinci (breeder and exhibitor: Wilhelm Leuermann, Saerbeck) descents from the dam line of the European Junior Team Champion Daily Pleasure WE. Dam St.Pr.St. Grazia II LW is the full sister of the reserve winner of the Westphalian Elite Show last year. The typey colt changed hands this evening at the hammer price of 6,750 Euros.

With a total turnover of 137,500 euros, 21 foals were sold this evening. The four pony foals were sold for an average of 5,250 euros. The 17 riding horse foals sold were worth an average of 6,853 euros to their new owners. Six young talents will start their careers outside of Germany.
